WELCOME TO ZE MUTANT DISCO EDITS CONTESTYou’re a pro or an amateur, remixer, musician, DJ, music producer that enjoys taking sound samples and loops and remixing or editing them. ZE Records offer you the opportunity to Edit one of the 60 Mutant Disco tracks of his back catalogue.

What is an Edit comparing to a Remix ?
To Remix a track you need the « Parts », meaning the multitracks, 16/24/48 different tracks of the song depending of the original recording.

To Edit a track you start with the finished recorded song. You can restructure it, add effects, uses filters, remove or add parts, re-imagining it by placing your own style and trademark music production skills on it or whatever you can come up with to artistically make it different than the original. The only limit is your creativity, imagination and talent. Don’t forget “everything is in the details”!.

Which Songs are available? Make your choice!
All the songs from the 4 Mutant Disco volumes, 54 songs or any songs from ZE Records back catalogue. You can listen on ZE web site a sample of each song from the album pages.

When you have made your choice you send us a mail at contest@zerecords.com and you will receive a link to download the original song in WAV file you chose and explanations how to upload your Edit. Maximun 3 songs by entrant. RULES Only open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By entering this contest, entrants assign away and transfer any and all rights in the Edit. Edits are for the dance floor. Maximum length 7 minutes. Deadline to send your edit November 30. 2011.
